Moved In

This week we said goodbye to my apartment.  I've lived there since I moved home from Baton Rouge.

We finished painting the kitchen.  Doesn't the red look awesome with the white cabinets?  Just wait til we get all of the new appliances in there!

We moved on to the living room, after deciding against the various grays I had tested.  We had to prime over them so our yellow/gold would go on in one coat.  That's the gold to the far right.

We used Valspar paint + primer, which was amazing!  We only needed one coat in the living room!  Here's the finished product, with furniture in place.  We still need some art & accessories.

As for the backyard, Cat has begun to venture off of the porch....

And these beautiful lilies (or gladiolas?) popped up in the back corner!

Patrick took care of weed-eating & fertilizing the yard, which looks so much better now.  More on that later!
